Hey Presley! Your project stood out to me because I feel as if I have not learned about this or discussed this in any of my classes and wanted to learn more. I had no idea about the connection between immigration and human trafficking. I wonder how the Biden administration's immigration policy will affect this?

This project really stood out to me because it discusses and brings attention to the horrible conditions we put our migrant farmers through. From reading your poster, I learned that labor law regulations are more effective in protecting these workers than strict immigration law policies. As such, I was wondering if you had any proposals or ideas in mind that could help solve this issue.

Hi Presley, I was drawn to your poster by the mention of "modern day slavery" and was interested in seeing how it is involved with the harvesting of U.S crops. I learned that the anti-trafficking and labor laws lack the proper enforcement which is largely what leads to this "modern day slavery." Do you think that the issue can be improved with stricter and better enforcement or is new and better legislation a must?

Hi Presley! Your poster caught my eye because I am very interested in combatting modern forms of slavery and seeing their connection to justice and legal thought. I learned a lot from your poster, specifically how a significant percentage of employers were told that their debt would be payed off. Do you think there is any legal interventions the United Sates should be taking to combat this issue and if so, what should they be?

Hi Presley! I was drawn into your paper because I associated modern day slavery with human trafficking based on what I learned from a past class I took and was interested to see how you made the connection. From your poster I was able see a connection between human trafficking and immigration which makes a lot of sense and is unfortunate that the United States is using trafficking as a way to halt immigration. While doing your research were you able to learn anything about sex trafficking and how that might tie into the concept of modern day slavery?
