Record Labels: A Necessary Function in the Music Industry or an Outdated Business Structure?

It was interesting to see how you linked justice and legal thought to the music industry. I feel like when people think of justice, they do not initially think about music contracts and record labels. This is a very creative idea and it made the research as a whole stand out to me. Before looking at your poster, I did not know much about the music industry and I definitely learned just how little freedom signed musicians can get. Do you think if you were able to directly speak to signed artists you would have gotten more insight on how much freedom signed artists can have?
