I was drawn to your project because I did a research paper in high school on the No Child Left Behind Act and weighing its benefits and flaws. However, I don't remember considering the funding aspect of it or how it dis-proportionally hurts low income communities. After researching, what do you think should be done with standardized testing? Should it be completely done away with or can it be fixed?

This project caught my attention because like most people I have taken a lot of standardized tests. I have also heard about how they are unfair and unequal so I was curious to learn more. I learned how these tests are damaging, especially for some groups, and I thought the solution was much better. My question would should we completely get rid of standardized tests and do you see some merit in them?

What drew me to this presentation is the topic. I have never been a fan of standardized testing and this presentation gives me the answer to whether or not they are actually useful. I learned that standardized testing is actually not a great gauge in how much a child has progressed academically. Are there any measures currently to possibly eliminate standardized testing?

And while many are against this approach, this is an issue that must be addressed with urgency form the school system. After all, standardized scores are not equivalent across different socio economic classes, as the more privileged have the benefit benefit of better education or simply individualized preparation. Do you think the covid 19 pandemic will bring to light more of these inequalities, in terms of access to learning an…

Emma, this project stood out to me because I agree that the reliance on standardized testing is a deep flaw of the American public education system. Through your poster, I learned that 70% of postgrads also believe that there is too much emphasis on standardized testing, especially when considering how integral immigrants who don't have English as their first language are to an American society. What do you think is the most fatal consequence as a result of the current standardized testing system?
